Most animal feces hazards are specifically related to inhalation of the contaminated materials. In some cases where bats have been roosting in attics, their droppings may even contaminate the air filtration, which can expose you to risk without even entering the attic space. Some forms of disease that can develop from over-exposure to animal feces include: Raccoon Roundworm, Histoplasmosis (caused by bird and bat droppings), Eosinophilic Meningitis (caused by rats) and Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (caused by rodent saliva, droppings and urine.)

After all the animals have been removed from your attic, we will provide a plan for animal feces removal. Once we have determined the amount of feces your home, we will remove accessible insulation and waste products. The area will be treated with a decontaminating agent that will not only disinfect the area, but break down smaller organic waste. In some larger cases, an entire attic clean out maybe suggested.
