Advanced Wildlife Control does offer a Green Pest Control program. This program takes on a non-chemical approach to controlling pest problems for those customers who prefer not to use pesticides in and around their homes. Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) is one of our provided options for Green Pest Control. Similar to our other pest control plans, we still seal up all points of entry. The only difference is that the problem areas are sprayed with a non-chemical spray that is not harmful to humans, pets, or the environment. These sprays, although less effective than regular pest control methods, have been proven to work when applied correctly to homes. Our technicians will work with you to create a plan that best fits your needs.
Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.)
Diatomaceous Earth is an all-natural, 100% pure approach to pest control. It is designed to kill a wide range of pests without the use of hazardous chemicals typically found in pesticides. Insects include fleas, ants, mites, lice, bed bugs, spiders, roaches, earwigs, centipedes, pillbugs, and silverfish. It is only effective when it directly comes into contact with the target insect. D.E. is absorbed by the insect and causes the insect to rapidly lose body fluids and die of hydration.
D.E. has been cleared for all residential and commercial use, including homes, restaurants, hospitals, and even schools. It has even been deemed safe for use in occupied barns, coops, and kennels. Diatomaceous Earth is a very effective pest control product when used correctly. However, it will not provide instant relief. It has a more prolonged and slower process. Labels for these products may talk about instant control, however, most of these target pests won’t die until at least 24 to 48 hours after treatment. It may even take up to two weeks to see real results. Advanced Wildlife Control is more than happy to provide Green Pest Control and Diatomaceous Earth to any customer upon request. However, we don’t recommend using D.E. for roaches, termites, or bed bugs.
Green Pest Control vs Traditional Pest Management
Green was once just a color, but today “green” has changed the scope of pest control. Over the past few years, green pest control has taken the pest control industry by storm and has required pest control companies and providers to adapt to this new demand. As such, Advanced Wildlife Control now offers Green Pest Control, a non-chemical approach to pest control.
This program was developed in response to customer concerns about pesticide use in their homes. Although not as long-lasting and effective as traditional pest control pesticides, Green Pest Control can be quite effective when used correctly. Our technicians use non-chemical sprays and baits as needed to combat insects and pests that are already in your home. Our technicians will also identify and seal up entry points where pests have entered into your home.
