Milwaukee Coyote Removal

Facts & Information

What are Coyotes?

Coyotes are carnivorous wild canines with a narrow snout, coarse grey-brown fur, and a bushy tail. An adult coyote is about the same size as a medium dog breed like a husky or German shepherd. Like wolves, coyotes live in family groups, but they usually hunt alone. Coyotes are generally nocturnal, and their high-pitch yelps and howls can be heard a half-mile to a mile away.

Why Do I Have Them?

Coyotes are a growing problem in southeastern Wisconsin. They are highly adaptable canines becoming more comfortable in suburban and urban areas. Coyote attacks on household pets and humans have significantly increased in recent years. They will often invade properties looking for food, water, and shelter. They can cause considerable damage to livestock. We recommend homeowners keep an eye on their pets when let outside, especially during evening and nighttime hours.

Coyote Removal & Trapping

Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control specializes in coyote removal. We are one of the very few animal control companies that handle coyote problems. Since coyotes are becoming a growing concern in urban areas, we work with city and town officials to address these problem canines. Our company believes in humane animal control, but unfortunately, we can not relocate coyotes. They are among the few animals we have to euthanize when caught.

Exclusion

Preventative exclusion services are an essential step in effective animal control. Our deck trenching services keep coyotes, foxes, and woodchucks from digging underneath your deck or shed. We utilize heavy-duty wire mesh panels to prevent burrowing animals from building dens under such structures. Securing trash cans and removing pet food will also help avoid coyote problems.

Breeding Season

Coyotes breed in late January and February. The average litter size ranges from 5 to 7 pups born in early spring (April or May). The baby coyotes will stay together with the adults until the upcoming fall or winter before going off on their own.

Where Do Coyotes Live?

Coyotes can be found throughout Wisconsin. They live in grasslands, farmlands, forests, and urban areas with substantial food and water sources. They construct dens out of existing burrows or covered areas to sleep and have their young. Underneath porches, decks, and sheds are potential places for coyotes to build dens.

What Do Coyotes Eat?

Coyotes are carnivores. They will eat whatever food is available, primarily deer, rabbits, or rodents. They will also eat berries and attack domestic animals like cats, dogs, or chickens.
