Our History

From a young age, founder Paul Winkelmann developed a strong passion for wildlife. He spent much of his childhood hunting and trapping. By the late 1980s, Paul wanted to see if he could turn his extensive wildlife knowledge into a business. In 1988, he and his wife, Jessica Winkelmann, founded Advanced Wildlife Control. We started small, but we have since grown to become the largest animal removal company in Wisconsin.

We originally started as a wildlife removal company and soon after expanded our services to include pest control. Locally headquartered in Slinger, Wisconsin, Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control is the most trusted animal and pest control company in Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin. Although much has changed since our founding in 1988, some things have remained the same. We continue to put customers first, maintain a dedication to quality, and strive to make the pest control experience easy, convenient, and hassle-free.

Advanced Wildlife Control operates under the names Advanced Wildlife Control Inc. and Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control. Our family-owned business is a member of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA), the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), the Wisconsin Wildlife Control Operators Association (WWCOA), and the Wisconsin Pest Control Association (WPCA). In 2018, Paul Winkelmann was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the NWCOA annual seminar for his time, work, and contributions to the wildlife control industry.
