Had a mouse concern over the weekend, submitted the form on the Advanced Wildlife Control website on a Saturday night, and PJ responded so quickly that we could not believe it!  Ryan took care of the issue Sunday morning and communicated his action steps and to call if any further concerns.  VERY reasonable charge for outstanding service and AWC has never tried to sell us on something we did not need.  Such an awesome family company that we recommend to all of our friends and neighbors. They came today to spray for mosquitoes & shortly after he left it rained - less than 30 mins later they called and rescheduled! What a stand up AWESOME company! He has not failed to tell me of any problem areas around the house, of what was completed, and come back to finish a spray if weather didn't permit a full service. He also has a great attitude.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't give them enough stars!  Used them on a recommendation of our sons who had squirrels in their chimney.  We woke up a few days ago to noises in our attic and insulation on part of a lower roof.  Nathan came and diagnosed the problem right away.  Red squirrels made a home!  Humanely (and that was important) trapped 2 and relocated them.  These people do a great job and have a heart for the animals as well. Recommend without hesitation. Update 2/4/2026:  Had them back again for a mice problems.  Solved immediately.  Can't recommend them highly enough.  Ryan was the tech and he was also excellent!

Our History

From a young age, founder Paul Winkelmann developed a strong passion for wildlife. He spent much of his childhood hunting and trapping. By the late 1980s, Paul wanted to see if he could turn his extensive wildlife knowledge into a business. In 1988, he and his wife, Jessica Winkelmann, founded Advanced Wildlife Control. We started small, but we have since grown to become the largest animal removal company in Wisconsin.

We originally started as a wildlife removal company and soon after expanded our services to include pest control. Locally headquartered in Slinger, Wisconsin, Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control is the most trusted animal and pest control company in Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin. Although much has changed since our founding in 1988, some things have remained the same. We continue to put customers first, maintain a dedication to quality, and strive to make the pest control experience easy, convenient, and hassle-free.

Advanced Wildlife Control operates under the names Advanced Wildlife Control Inc. and Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control. Our family-owned business is a member of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA), the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), the Wisconsin Wildlife Control Operators Association (WWCOA), and the Wisconsin Pest Control Association (WPCA). In 2018, Paul Winkelmann was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the NWCOA annual seminar for his time, work, and contributions to the wildlife control industry.
