Dangers of Animal Droppings
- Mouse Droppings – Rodents can transmit salmonellosis – a severe type of food poisoning – through food contamination. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain. Hantavirus is a potentially life-threatening disease transmitted to humans by exposure or inhalation of rodent droppings, urine, or saliva. Symptoms include fatigue, fever, and muscle aches.
- Bat Droppings – Bat guano is known to cause Histoplasmosis, a fungal infection that primarily affects the lungs. Symptoms include fever, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, and bloody coughing. It is transmitted when a person inhales the Histoplasma fungus spores that grow on large amounts of bat droppings.
- Raccoon Droppings – Raccoons are well-known for transmitting raccoon roundworm. They can excrete roundworm eggs through their droppings, which can easily be inhaled. Once the eggs hatch, they cause serious illness throughout the body. Symptoms include muscle aches, fatigue, vision impairments, and heart problems. Raccoon roundworm is very dangerous and can be fatal if left untreated.
- Bird Droppings – Bird droppings can transmit numerous human pathogens, including Histoplasmosis, Candidiasis, Cryptococcosis, Salmonellosis, E.Coli, and Q Fever. Food contamination or inhaling hazardous spores can cause these fatal illnesses.

Gutters are an important part of your home’s roofing system. They benefit your house in various ways. Your basement, foundation, driveway, landscaping, and roofing are all at risk of sustaining damage from overflowing, clogged gutters. Standing water in your gutters is also a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. Damp leaves, mud, and wood will also attract wasps, ants, and termites. Our specialists thoroughly clean out and dispose of debris in gutters and downspouts. We can also install protective gutter inserts to prevent water damage, debris build-ups, and pests.
